I'm Proud To Be An American!!

Joslyn LOVES this song, she wanted to watch on YouTube.....I love it because she SINGS along with it...I actually got it on video....She was eating a PopTart, so cute!!!

YEAH!! Joslyn Gets Her OWN Bed!!!

My girls have all gone through this stage of needing there own bed. Rylee was sleeping with Morgan in her Queen size bed, but then she decided she needed her OWN bed..so Boomer built her a sweet bed, click HERE. Now, Jos is sharing a bed with Morgan, but now needs her OWN bed. We didn't have space for a twin, so, I googled some plans to make a toddler bed. It was soooooooo fun to make. I went and got all the wood and my husband and I spent the afternoon, cutting, sanding, painting. Joslyn is now a proud of owner of her own little bed. YEAH!!!
Morgan is loving have her own bed after 6 years of sharing with sisters ;0)

I got it all primed and painted, but as Morgan would say, "I had to do my Ali touch to it". I sanded all the edges and stained them brown, to give it that, "OH, CUTE" look. It turned out FABULOUS!!!!

A closer look of the "Ali Touch"

My little helpers cleaning it off

And the finished product. She is now sharing a room with her brother.

THE BROWN BEAR....the story: At the bottom of the post I am going to give you the site, so you can make your own bed. On this person's site, the finished product had a brown bear on the bed. So, my daughter was SURE she HAD to have a BROWN BEAR on the bed.  So, funny. Thank goodness we owned a brown bear, and it sits proudly on the bed!!!

And now Joslyn has moved in..look close I think you can still see the bed :0)

Oh, the details. The funniest thing was when she was organizing all of her critters, she kept saying to herself, "It just needs something else", seriously, I think your good!!!

And the finished product being used!! AAAHHHH!!!! I am so proud!!!

(notice the kitty's at the end of the bed have been turned around to watch her sleep. She does that every night!!

A Dog and Turtle!!

Our neighbors were going out of town and asked Morgan if she could take care of their turtle. Needless to say our girls were ecstatic...our home without animals is driving them crazy. THEN our neighbors dog sitter cancelled so, we got the dog too. She is a cute little dog and SOOO well behaved, she fit right in. Luke and her seriously played outside from sun up till sun down. Throwing balls, exploring the yard together, it was awesome.
Joslyn LOVED Shelly the Turtle. I would find her playing with her toys by the cage, just talking away to her. We had let her swim in the bath 2 times that week. The kids had so much fun. Joslyn was the only one that would dare to pick her up and take her to the bath. Here are some pictures of our sitting experience.

Rylee wanted to dry the turtle, she did good till it started "CHARGING" her and she would run and scream.

Those of you that are screaming "GO GET YOUR KIDS SOME ANIMALS"......we will when we FINALLY own our own home and QUIT RENTING!!!! :0)

El Paso, TX

Boomer has been traveling A LOT lately, so we decided to go with him. He had to go down to El Paso, TX for 4 days. So, we packed up, took the girls out of school and met him down there. It was really fun, but exhausting. Boomer worked all day and the kids and I explored El Paso. We swam a lot, visited the zoo one day. We also went and visited a friend that I went to high school with, Erin (Rasmussen) Allen. It was so fun to spend the day with her and her cute kiddos. The kids played and played and we talked and talked. Boomer met us after work, we ate pizza and headed back to the hotel. Thanks, Erin for a fun day!!!

Here are pictures for the Zoo. It was a fun little zoo.

Driving to the zoo was kinda scary, you went right to go to the
zoo and left to go to Juarez, Mexico. So, we turned up the
GPS and made sure we went the right way. We didn't want to end up in Juarez with all the killing and crime that is going on there.

Luke didn't get many naps, he was exhausted. I laid him down
at night and he fell sound asleep. The TV was on, girls
jumping around the hotel
and he still PASSED OUT!!!

This was Jos's favorite spot at the hotel,
sitting in the window playing on the I-PAD!!
