Our Baby Eagle

Joslyn goes to the Preschool at the High School. SHE LOVES IT!! Their mascot is an Eagle, so they call the Preschoolers baby Eagles!!! The Preschool class performed at a High School assembly!! SHE WAS SO EXCITED. She got up in front of the whole student body of kids..I don't know if she was scared, she just did little action, until she had to jump and she did that REALLY big. It was very cute!! Here is a video of her performing.

Easter 2012

We had a fun Easter, very laid back and relaxing. Saturday we spent the day making Eater eggs and going to a community Easter egg hunt with some friends.
Sunday, the kids woke up to that CRAZY Easter Bunny pooping all over our house :0) they had to follow the colorful poop from there bed side to there Easter baskets (bags this year )......I know it sounds disgusting, but, the kids love it!! There Uncle Blaine started the tradition last year and they said we had to do it every year!!! We then went to church to enjoy the spirit of the TRUE meaning of Easter. Our Savior, Jesus Christ. It was a great day!!!

New Adventures Started!!

My parents left for a 18 month service mission for our church in February. They were called to serve in San Diego, California. They have been there for over 3 months.
In January they were able to talk in church before they left. So, we all went up to see them and say our "SEE YOU LATERS".....
My brother, Fred and his wife Janet got everyone together for a surprise dinner at Maddox. It was such an amazing night. Having EVERYONE (except Chuy) together for a fun, relaxing night!!! THANKS again, Fred and Janet!!!

The kids were excited to play in the snow, but, the hill was the only thing that didn't have snow. That didn't stop the kids, they sled so much on the grass, it was as slick as the snow.

My sister, Michelle, had just gotten a new dog, Maybel is the sweetest dog, which of course Morgan fell in LOVE with. This is one of my most favorite picture of Morgan cuddling with Maybel!!

Pictures from the dinner at Maddox!!
There were lots of giggles, toasts and FAMILY!!

We will SEE YOU LATER, Grandpa and Grandma, WE LOVE YOU!!
We are so excited for your NEW ADVENTURE TOGETHER!!!

Welcome, Nillie!!!

I am so excited to announce we are now a PET family :0) We have something other then the handful of Betta fish, I would let the kids get!!! Morgan has wanted a Parakeet for over a year and FINALLY she got her chance to get one. Some friends of hers bought a bunch of Parakeet's to create an Aviary and let Morgan take one.
The kids have fallen in love with her (we think it is a her, you can't really tell for few months, so, Nillie, might become Neil). They all gather when Morgan gets her out of the cage. Morgan still sometimes handles her with a glove on, so, I know when the bird is out, because all the kids are walking around with one glove on, so funny!!
So, I am not the biggest fan of birds, they kinda freak me out :0) I guess it all started in Florida at an Aviary in a zoo. As I walked in with Morgan, who was 3 at the time holding a cup of nectar. I had a MILLION birds (well, maybe not millions) ATTACK me...well try to drink the nectar. All I remember is handed the cup forcefully to Boomer and screaming, as I ran out of the Aviary. While leaving my 3 year old in there screaming because, her Mom just freaked out. So, birds are not my favorite.
That being said, Morgan is having a ball playing off my fears. I was leaning over putting something on the stairs and Morgan came up behind me with the bird behind my head. As I stood up my hair brushed Nillie, which made her flap her wings in my hair and I SCREAMED, chills down my spine and literally goose bumps were raised with my hair standing straight up of fear. Morgan fell over laughing, Boomer yelled at me for screaming (he was on the phone, luckily with his Dad). Not, very nice!!!
I have had to prove a few times to the kids, well peer pressure from the kids to hold the dang thing. I have actually mastered the task of holding her on my finger, but the second she starts up my arms, she is done. I was once again, peer pressured into letting Morgan put her on my shoulder...UGH!! I am cringing thinking of it...BUT, I HAVE PICTURE TO PROVE IT WAS DONE!!!!
I am excited my kids, well Morgan finally has a PET...WELCOME, Nillie (Neil) to the family!!!!

Nillie is starting to give kisses..I loved Joslyn's expression while she was getting kisses :0) Another fun thing is letting her walk up your fingers (Rylee is doing it in the bottom left picture), you just have to say "UP" and she starts doing it...

I have proof...UGH!!! Never again!!!

It's the APP STORE!!

Luke was coloring the other day, he started yelling, "Mom, look, Mom, look", as he was pointing to the letter A is had made on the ground..I said, "good job, buddy you made an A", he said, "NO!!!, It's the APP store." I thought I was going to die laughing. My kid doesn't know what an A is, but he knows what the app store looks like. So, funny!!!

We LOVE Our Zoo!!!

We absolutely love the zoo here in Albuquerque. These pictures were actually taken a few months ago, I am kinda behind in blogging :0) The kids had a day off of school, so we took off to the Aquarium and the Zoo!! The kids were so funny, they wanted their pictures taken everywhere...I wasn't complaining, it was a really fun day!!! The animals were even out and having fun!!

I love the expression on the Giraffe...

I could sit and watch Chimps all day. They are so funny. The Mom was dragging around this blanket, it was so funny. She took it over to see her son, Reese. They are so full of personality!!!

The baby hippo was getting tired..he walked over and cuddled with his Mom and yawned himself to sleep!!

The elephants are teenage boy elephants.
They are always playing and attacking each other.

I Am A SUPER HERO!!

Joslyn has an amazing friend that has been diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer. He is 5 years old and is such a sweetheart. He is one of those kids when you meet him he just draws you in with a BIG OLE' SMILE!!! On his 5th birthday, he was in the hospital, so as soon as he got out, his sweet aunts threw him a SUPER HERO party. His aunts made each child a super hero capes with their initial on the back. Joslyn and Luke loved their capes. It was fun to play and see Matthew, before he went back into the hospital.
