Spring Days

We are starting to go to different parks and getting to know the area. We found a really fun park with a ton of grass. We spent a fun afternoon playing soccer and rolling down hills.

Luke loved kicking his ball around in the sun. He would NOT let anyone touch the ball, he had some pretty cool moves ;o)

An All American Girl

This year on school Rylee has a teacher that goes above and beyond teaching her class. She is incredible. Every other month she has the kids put on a play. But, the parts, she gives the kids blow me away. How much they memorize, its amazing. In this particular play there a boy that recited by heart "The Declaration of Independence"...first grade. It was so impressive. This year Rylee sang by herself with the class as background singers "I Am Proud To Be An American". She did a PERFECT job. She practiced so much that we all had the song memorized and sang IT ALL DAY LONG. Even dreamed about it and woke up singing it.
Here is a video Morgan took of Rylee singing. We have now learned you don't turn the camera sideways while videoing. So, turn your head sideways and enjoy.

Rylee was cracking us up, the song they were singing ended, so the kids were just waiting for the music to be over. So, Rylee started doing this little jig, we were laughing so hard. All the kids were standing there still and Rylee was dancing. Funny girl!!! Watch her beautiful jig below:

SNOW DAYS!!!

We had the craziest winter storms that hits us. With multiple days in the negatives and many, many days of snow. The girls school shut down for FOUR days. It was fun, pulling hair out, crazy days. With the city not having snowplows and the roads were icy and slick, the city asked for us to stay home. We had fun times, playing in the snow for only minutes, before the kids FROZE from the bitter weather.
We painted a canvas for some fun art to hang in the play room. Many games were played, popcorn popped and movies watched.

Here is the canvas we divided in fourths and we each took a corner
and painted a masterpiece.

By the fourth day, we were DONE, being in the house. So, packed up and went to a really fun Dinosaur, science museum. It was a really fun museum. The kids were so excited to get out of the house.

Valentines Day!!

OH, Valentine's Day, was a day I gave up. I had gotten the kids cute V-day shirts and a little treat. When they woke up, I had them placed on the stairs, so they could see them when they came down in the morning.
Morgan was so excited and tackled me with hugs and kisses. Rylee was mad because she has already picked out a shirt to wear and didn't want to wear the v-day one I got her. I dressed Luke and Jos...Luke was mad because he wanted to wear his "CARS" shirt and Jos told me that is was an ugly shirt and I shouldn't have bought it (notice her glaring at the camera). So, needless to stay Rylee wore another shirt and Jos wore her shirt for 10 min and changed into another shirt. SO, I GIVE UP!! Being a sweet Mom that buys cute shirts ;o). Too bad I already have there St. Patrick's Day shirts ;o)

The rest of the day was really fun. We had a fun night of Valentine Bingo and a scavenger hunt. Topped with YUMMY pudding with Valentine sprinkles.

So, stay tuned to see how the St. Patrick's Day shirts turn out!!!

Fun Day at the Zoo with Friends

We went to the zoo with some friends. She has three kids all about the same as my kids. It was a fun day. Morgan took most the pictures this time. She told to make sure I wrote that, so she could get credit. I took the ape pictures and she took the rest. She is getting to be a good little photographer.

This Gorilla was HUGE, he was so funny just sitting there watching us.

We got to the Polar Bears around feeding time, it was so fun to watch them jump in the water to catch the fish.

This little guy was so funny. This is him, laying across his mother's lap. When we first got there she was trying to get him to nurse. She keep trying to get him to latch and hold still to nurse. Then the little guy jumped off her lap and ran away. She went over and grabbed his hand and put him back on to nurse and was holding his head on...it was so funny. I could totally feel her frustration. But, the funniest thing is the father was sitting by her the whole time holding her hand...good support. I loved it. The picture is a full, happy monkey.

This guy, we hilarious. He was sitting in the corner by this window. When the kids were standing there looking at him, he would turn and knock on the window and then look away like he didn't do it. He did over and over again, we were all laughing so hard. If you look close you can see him looking out the corner of his eye. The animals at the zoo are seriously the funniest, friendliest animals. It is so fun!!

Our Friend, Mr. Lizard!!

We had a pet Lizard in our garage for a few days. The kids would go out and play with him through out the day. Luke wanted to touch him SOOO bad, he would get so close few times, but giggle and squeal. He did touch with his toe once and was very proud. Joslyn knew the Lizard needed a friend, so she ran in the house and got her play Lizard and laid it by him to play with, it was really cute.

A Fun Family Weekend!!

The weekend after we got back home, my brother Fred and his wife Janet came to visit. They were actually planning this trip long before we moved here, so it was fun to have them stay with us for the weekend.
They were my first visitors!! YEAH!!!

We went to Old Town with the kids. It was really fun to walk around and see the old architect and did a lot of fun window shopping.

We joined in with Fred and Janet and her family and rode the Tram to the top of Sandia Peak. It was amazing. We went from 55 degree's to 22 degree's at the top. There is a restaurant and a ski resort on the backside of the mountain. The view was breathe taking. I have to admit riding the tram was fun, but made me a little nervous. I was standing by a lady and her daughter that were talking about what would happen it the tram fell, and all the different things that would happen. Ya, not fun to listen too, when you are thousands of feet in the air in a 8000 pound tram hanging on to cables. It was a fun experience and can't wait to do it again.
