Boomer's Grandpa Smith (Smitty) passed away in July, a week before his 93rd birthday!! What an INCREDIBLE man. He lived an amazing life and is now reunited with the LOVE of his life.
He was put in hospice while we were visiting Utah, so we were able to go and spend sometime with him to love and kiss on him. He was such a huge part of mine and Boomer's dating and married life. While Boomer was on his mission, it didn't matter who I was dating, I would go and visit Smitty and his wife every month. He told me that if Boomer didn't come home and marry me that he and Naoma were going to adopt me. So, I knew I was in going to be in the family one way or the other :0)
A four generation photo on Grandpa's 90th birthday!!!
The viewing was such an amazing night reuniting with cousins, uncles and aunts. With many friends that came to give there love. Just the way Smitty would have wanted it, lots of laughing, hugging and LOVE.
The grave side...I love the picture of Joslyn on the top, she stood watching the pinwheel for the longest time blowing in the wind. It was a sweet moment.
The grave dedication was such a memorable moment. Watching the Air Force fold the flag and place it in Boomer's Aunt Diane arms, was incredible.
We love and will remember you always, Smitty!!!
