Quick Trip To Utah

Boomer put on the calendar that he was going to be gone for a week and a half....so we figured we didn't need to stay here. So, Boomer pulled out and went Southeast and we pulled out and Northwest. I called my Mom, the day we were leaving and told her we were coming to Utah and we would be there tomorrow morning. We drove 10 hours the first day (not one of my kids slept during that 10 hours, SERIOUSLY!!!) and stayed in Price that night and then finished the trek the next morning.

Some of OUR favorite things about going home are:

My Parents gardens, they are sooo beautiful, I love to walk around and see all the new colors and flowers.

The orange Poppies are my favorite!!

This is my sweet, high energized niece OAKLEY who is NOT a baby anymore and she will let you know that, she can stay up with the kids all day. It was so fun, she was just a little thing when we moved.

Water slides, we always have to have a water day..the kids love it. They play and play and then relax with a YUMMY Creamy Popsicle.

We always have to go eat at Kirt's, that is a must. I have
to get my Lime Rickey fix. DELICIOUS!!!

Going up to Boomer's sister Joan's house in the Valley for a cook out. We LOVE doing this. The scenery is breathe taking, the family is amazing and the food is YUMMY!!! Roasting Marshmallows is a must!!!

Swimming in Grandpa and Grandpa Smith's pool.

Going up and spending time with family. We headed up to Heber and had dinner at Boomer's brother Ramsey's house. His other brother Kris, Lori (girlfriend) and Grandpa Mark came over. It was so good to see that side of the family. They are amazing.

Uncle Kristopher, who the kids adore. He becomes a jungle gym for them to climb all over.

Kary (sis-in-law) has some fun, craft paper for the kids to trace their bodies. They had a blast. They even convinced their Uncle Ramsey to let them trace him. The kids love going and playing with their sweet cousin
Brian and Brooke. Such sweeties. We love you guys.

Going to the Dinosaur Park...this is always a must.

We had Grandma Smith come and join us, it was
so fun to be all together.

Going to the Treehouse Museum. It changes every time we go, it is so fun to let the kids go and just PLAY!!! Here is the western area, GIDDY UP!!!! Britt's boys who are actually cowboys, couldn't get enough of this room.

I even got into the toys. Joslyn and I made a huge tower....well until Oakley came and sat on it and knocked it over. Good thing she is cute!!!

The kids were able to participate in a play. It was so funny. Even Luke wanted to be apart of it, he was the baby owl.

Joslyn loves the firetruck....

Boomer ended up flying up on Friday to help me drive home. We took off on Sunday and stayed in Moab. It was pretty cool and raining in the evening, the hotel had an indoor/outdoor pool. It was pretty chilly, some how the cold doesn't bother the kids. I was fine with my feet in and a sweatshirt on.
Our hotel was awesome, it had 3 queen beds, perfect for our family. The kids loved it. For some reason on the second floor they had a ramp going down the stairs (bottom middle picture), we are guessing for the cleaning peoples carts. One look at the ramp and the kids made it into a slide, it was so funny. Luke went head first flying down the ramp.

The next morning we took the kids hiking to see all the different arches. It was absolutely amazing. The weather was perfect 72 with a cool breeze.

We hiked all over, the kids loved climbing and exploring everything.

This is one of the arches across the canyon from us. It was a 3 mile hike to get there, a little to long for the kids. So, we decided to hike to the outlook point instead. The funniest thing was standing across the canyon from the arch, Luke realized he had an echo. We stood there for 15 minutes as he yelled, "HELLO, HELLO" and giggled every time. He was so sad when we left. The entire walk down the mountain on Boomer's shoulders, he kept yelling, "HELLO, HELLO" trying to find his echo again. He couldn't figure out why the people we were passing on the trail were saying, "HELLO" back to him.

The top right picture is "BALANCED ROCK" and  the bottom on is "TWO WINDOWS"

We were able to walk up and stand under this arch, the kids LOVED that...Luke bounced down every one of those stairs, it took us awhile to get down.

On the way out of town we stopped by the store, "HOLE N' THE ROCK", the store itself is okay, but the grounds are amazing, so many things to see and explore. They had an old truck they made to look like, "MATER" from Cars...OH MY GOODNESS, Luke was in heaven. The standing man made out of golf clubs was pretty cool also.

We had such a great time, thank you to all that made it a fun, crazy, chaotic week!! We had blast!!! We love you!!!
