Bates Nut Farm...

There is the funniest place out in the country called "Bates Nut Farm", the kids usually do a field trip there every year till 4th grade!! Rylee's had her first Preschool field trip there last Friday!! It was so fun, the weather was perfect!! You get to go on hay rides, go through a maze and pick out your own pumpkin. They also got to feed some animals and ride ponies..it is such a fun experience and the kids love it!!!

Joslyn petting the goat..she had NO fear when it came to these little guys!! She was right in the mix of everyone feeding and petting the goats!! Her sister on the other hand was very cautious and didn't want to feed them, she kept yelling and Joslyn to get away from them....it was funny!! Two different personalities!!


We couldn't get Joslyn to lay her hand out flat to feed the goats, she fed them just one kernal at a time...her little fingers would get nibbled every time when the goats where trying to get the food...it soooo did not bother her :)

The excitment of riding a horse...oh my goodness, the girls where so excited to ride the ponies....Joslyn just kept yelling "RIDE THE NEIGH, NEIGH"...


The first thing Joslyn did was pet the pony and give it loves...

Rylee was sitting on this little chair away from all the animals and this chicken came up to say Hi...so she took her chair and went running!!





Rylee was extremely cautious around all the animals, she chose to sit on the side in a chair and stay away from them...BUT it was driving her crazy that Joslyn was by them all hugging and loving them. So, she kept trying to get Joslyn away from the animals and sit by her....Joslyn of course lasted a few second on the chair and was off trying to touch another animal.


After many trys of Rylee doing this..Joslyn decided if she wants me to be on a chair I am moving it in the middle of all the animals..so this is Jos picking the chair up and moving it...

Sea World with Grandma!!

YEAH!! Grandma and Grandpa came to town!! We just had such a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa Medsker!! My Mom came at one of my busiest weeks, which was such a huge blessing to have her help!! We had so many fun days at Sea World, Bates Nut Farm and of course shopping and walking on the beach!!!

Rylee finally got the courage to sit in soak zone at the Shamu show, but they didn't get wet...she was really bummed!1 Maybe next time :)

'Tis The Season....Fire Season That Is....

We have started the fire season down here..we had a brush fire a few days ago at a target practice area at Camp Pendleton..it was pretty close to civilian housing, it was just over the ridge from our friends house. Luckily it was contained pretty fast and didn't hurt any properties. NOW at 3:00 today another fire broke out over on the base again and this time we have the Santa Anna winds (hot winds from the desert) which blows the fires out of control and they are hard to contain. This time 500 + houses got evacuated on base and a ton off base also, they have set up evacuation areas at the high school and now it is a waiting game. It is horrible!! The one thing a fire brings are amazing sunsets..the nasty clouds are actually smoke from the fire coming to the coast. They are sending planes which will come over our house and swoop down by the pier and get water and head back to the fire...it is amazing to watch!! So, now we are back to having ash raining on us and the great scent of fires rushing through the house!!!

Joslyn, Joslyn, Joslyn!!!

This little girl of mine is getting the FUNNIEST little personality!! The girls were in my room just busting up. When I went in Morgan was telling Joslyn to show her, her belly and Joslyn would strike this pose..HYSTERICAL!!! We were having her do it all night..I got it on video ( I can't get the video to post, I will have to work on it later)...but Joslyn is to funny in it...she has a herniated belly button..so it sticks out further than her belly, which makes it that much funnier!!!!!

Morgan was watching Joslyn for a little bit yesterday and I found this on the camera..I thought she did a good job!! I have another DORA freak on my hands. Good thing we already have all the DORA toys possible from Rylee's stage of DORA!!!
